FAQ
Cancellation Fees
Sometimes plans change and I completely understand that! As long as you cancel your scheduled appointment before 24 hrs, there will be no fee. However if you do not provide notice 24 hrs before the appointment, there will be a non-refundable $15 fee.
Out of Town Fee
Not only do I provide services for Medicine Hat, but all of Cypress County. For towns outside of Medicine Hat, I charge an extra fee starting at $5 for Redcliffe and Dunmore, and $5+ for places further out to account for gas and mileage.
Payments
I only accept cash or e-transfer. If I ever need to provide a refund, you will have the choice of receiving credit for a future service or will receive it by e-transfer.
Weather
I will not walk dogs outside if I deem the weather to be unsafe, whether its too hot or too cold. If the weather is forecasted to be unsafe during your appointment, I will work together with you to either reschedule for a different time during the day, offer indoor mental enrichment for the allotted time, or you may receive a full refund or credit.
I Am Not a Certified Trainer
Please note that I am not a certified dog trainer! While I do have lots of experience training and working with high energy or nervous dogs, for more advanced training needs I highly recommend contacting a certified dog trainer who has the best set of skills to set both you and your pup up for success.
I Do Not Walk Big Groups of Dogs
I do not walk large groups of dogs together, as I believe every pet deserves my full attention during their outing. By walking dogs individually, or only with another dog from the same household when it is safe and appropriate, I can focus on their unique needs, monitor their behavior closely, and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. This approach allows me to give each dog the patience, care, and engagement they deserve, making every walk both enriching and secure.
Last Minute Fee
Just like with cancellations, sometimes life can happen quickly and you need a last-minute dog walking or pet sitting appointment. For $10 I will happily work with you to rearrange my schedule so your pet receives the care and attention it needs. This fee only applies for bookings made with 48 hrs.
What I Bring to Appointments
I provide my own healthy treats and bags for dog walks. During the Meet and Greet or while booking your first dog walking appointment, we will go over whether or not your dog has any allergies so I can plan accordingly. Treats will be used as positive reinforcement.
